On the Living Room Carpet, We Held a Family Picnic

This weekend we didn't go out. We pushed the coffee table in the living room to the wall, spread a thick knitted carpet on the floor, and held a family picnic right there. I baked a plate of small cookies in advance, Mom cut a full plate of fruits, and Dad rummaged out the picnic mat bought last year from the storage room. The three of us took off our shoes and sat on the carpet, filling it with snacks and fruit plates. The projection screen shows our favorite old animation, the kitten curls up in the corner of the carpet eating cat strips, and the sunlight spreads in from the floor-to-ceiling window, making the knitted lines on the carpet clearly visible. We laughed while eating oranges, the characters in the animation bounced on the screen, the juice accidentally dripped on the carpet, and Mom patted my hand with a smile saying "you're such a careless kid even at this age". No expensive tickets, no crowded scenic spots, right in the small space of our own living room, we turned an ordinary weekend into the most interesting little festival. It turns out that the best leisure never needs to travel far. Crowding on the same carpet with family is the most relaxed happiness.
